Miller Systems Wins 2004 MITX Award for Best Healthcare Website

Recognized for Developing Priority Healthcare’s Hepatitis Neighborhood

Miller Systems, one of Boston’s premier technology consulting firms specializing in the design and development of elegant online user experiences, today announced that it has been selected as a winner in the category of healthcare for the 2004 MITX Awards. The annual MITX Awards is the largest awards competition in the country that recognizes achievements in the development and implementation of interactive technologies. Winners were announced in 28 categories, including four “Best of” awards at an awards ceremony attended by nearly 800 industry professionals held on November 10th at the Boston Copley Place Marriott.

“We are absolutely thrilled to win this MITX Award and to have our work on Hepatitis Neighborhood recognized nationally as one of the best sites in the business,” said Seth Miller, President and CEO of Miller Systems. “Today’s win is a testament to both the processes we use to create meaningful online user experiences and the talented Miller Systems’ team members who make it happen on a daily basis. Moreover, it demonstrates how we effectively collaborate with our clients to build web properties that meet or exceed their revenue, resource and budget requirements.”

Managed by Priority Healthcare, Hepatitis Neighborhood is a leading destination for individuals seeking information and support for hepatitis. The primary business goal for Hepatitis Neighborhood is to build a community of opt-in registered users who may need the services of a specialty pharmacy. As such, the site needed to perform quickly, and be engaging, intuitive and easy to use. Priority Healthcare tasked Miller Systems with improving the overall subscriber experience and enhancing performance. Miller Systems worked with Priority Healthcare to develop a fresh design approach, replace its limited content management system, augment its email content creation tools, and improve its hosting performance.

“This ceremony shows us every year that technology and innovation continue to thrive in New England and our Award winners are a true testament to that fact,” said Kiki Mills, Acting Executive Director of MITX. “Their work clearly demonstrates how companies are leveraging technology to help build their businesses.”

Entries were judged by over 100 industry professionals representing various disciplines including creative directors, designers, technologists, media representatives, industry analysts, investors and business professionals.

The 2004 MITX Awards were sponsored by AOL Media Networks, Goodwin Procter, IBM, Mullen, Nixon Peabody LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and RDW Group. For the full list of winners go to http://www.mitxawards.org/.
